Introduction of the Association
The A.J.K.A. Shotokan Karate-Do Association is a member of the American J.K.A. Karate Association. Nationwide karate instructor training, headed by Sensei László Sáfár 8th dan, started several years ago, and it has become the most successful program of its kind with over 100 black-belt participants. Currently there are over 150 black-belt karate masters, 35 karate clubs and about 2,500 practitioners of karate who belong to the A.J.K.A. Shotokan Karate-Do Association.

The Organization
With respect to geography, the A.J.K.A. Shotokan Karate-Do Association of Hungary is divided into two, namely the Western and the Eastern Regions, while professional tasks and organization are performed by means of various committees and work teams. This serves as the basis of the association's matrix architecture.
The work of the committees is supervised and coordinated by the Board of the A.J.K.A., direct control is exercised by the Chairman of the committee.
A bizottságok feladatai:
- To support, supervise and measure the work performed in the regions and the member associations, within a given area
- To ensure the execution of the regulations defined by the Association and approved of by the General Assembly
- To draw up recommendations regarding the further improvement of the work performed in the area controlled by the committee
- To inform the member associations about the results of their activities, their recommendations as well as recent and upcoming events through the A.J.K.A. website
