Sensei says... (letter to the members)

How long is your Dan Diploma valid?

First of all we must understand what does Dan ranking means. Do not try to associate your Dan Diploma with your mother or father these two things you have for life no money no kind of work or effort will ever change this; you will not have to work for this anymore.

On the other hand when you get a Dan ranking it is not the money that you pay for that will give it its value on the contrary it the amount of continues work is that will give it its continues value.

A Dan ranking is nor for life. Karate-Do training is for life. Your rank has value as long as you can defend it.

Karate is a continues work process all through your life as Sensei Funakoshi has stated Practice every day of your life as much as you can than some day you may understand the meaning of karate-Do.

Think of your Dan diploma as a contract between your instructor and your association, once you are not member of this organization and leave you instructor you broke your contract and your association with the organization is over.

I have examined students all over the world and many of them are still with me and working toward the understanding of Sensei Funakoshis words, these student are the ones I represent and recognize officially people whom left I can not and I will not except responsibility and will not represent them anywhere, they can call themself's any rank they want but as far as we are concerned they do not exist I am concerned about the people whom are continuously working to better themself and work toward the betterment and better understanding of karate-Do.
